This post is about the Yellow Tang. The Yellow Tang is a very popular aquarium fish and in certain spots in Maui they are easy to spot. The Yellow Tang are also known as Zebrasoma flavescens.  Yellow Tang are salt water fish. Yellow Tang are in the surgeon fish  family. Adult fish can grow to 20 centimeters. Adult males are mostly bigger than females. Yellow Tang eat algae. (That is why all those Yellow Tang are pecking at the turtle because algae grows on turtles) There are Yellow Tang in the movie, Finding Nemo.

My favorite place to be is San Francisco. I like the tall glass buildings and all the lights. I also like driving around the city and driving over the golden gate bridge. Most of the time I am at my cousin’s house playing. My favorite thing to do in San Francisco is to play with my cousins. I also like going to the neighborhood pool. If I am bored in the car I try to spot expensive cars. In San Francisco, for me, there is always some thing to do.  You should try the tapioca drink in San Francisco (my favorite flavor is lychee fruit).

 

This post is about the liger, not the tiger. I bet you are wondering what is a liger? A liger is the biggest cat in the world. It is a cross between a male lion and a female tiger. Ligers grow at a erate of 1 kg every second day. A liger has more  lion traits than tiger traits. One thing that a liger can  do that a tiger can do is swim. A liger’s roar sounds more like a lion then a tiger. Ligers can run up to 50mph. Here’s a fun fact. In the 2004 movie, Napoleon Dynamite, the liger was Napoleon’s favorite animal.

This post is about my favorite sport which is soccer. Soccer is hard because you have to use your feet to control the ball. There are 5 different  positions in soccer:  goalie,  defenders, midfielders, wingers  and strikers. The goalie defends the goal with any part of his body and does not let the ball get into the net. Defenders try not to let the other team score a goal and try to take the ball away from the other team. Then they pass the ball to the midfielders. Midfielders are all over the field,  they have to defend and attack. They use mostly ball control skills. Next are the wingers who use speed to attack. Wingers are like strikers. Last is the attacker or striker. The strikers job is to score goals. They need to use lots of speed and skill. My favorite positions is being a midfielder. At the top there is a video of top 20 free kicks. Free kicks are awarded when some one commits a foul or uses their hand to touch the ball.  Touching the ball with the hand is called a handball. An unsafe tackle  is also a foul. You get to take a free kick from the spot where the foul occurred. A penalty kick is given when some one either tackles you or some one touches the ball with their hand in the penalty box .

This post is about my vacation to Maui. My family and I went to the beach a lot. I saw a lot of people boogie boarding (surfing). I went boogie boarding too, it is lots of fun, except I did not stand up on the board. I also saw a lot of fish. If you went way out deep where there is coral and you see very colorful fish. If you stay closer to shore you will not see a lot of fish and they will not be colorful. There were a lot of people that were just sitting and relaxing. Maui is famous for their shaved ice. The best part of Maui is the sunset. At the top there is a  picture from Mt  Haleakala. To get a good picture there has to be clouds.

What is a new year’s resolution? A new year’s resolution is a  challenge that you wish to achieve that will make you a better person. A very common new year resolution is to lose weight.

 

Here are my new year’s resolutions.

1. Get better at math by getting better at fractions.

2. Get better at soccer by scoring 25 goals.

3. Blog a little more by blogging 15 minutes a day.

4.Read more by reading 1 hour a day.

5. Try to finish all my IXL.

6. Write 1/2  hour a day.

7. Do my work with out being asked.
